To commemorate the 10th anniversary of S&S Group, a leading luxury retailer in Vietnam that represents brands from Rolls Royce to Richard Mille, Breitling has created a special edition of its iconic chronograph. The Navitimer B01 “S&S 10th Anniversary” Limited Edition features a striking blue mother-of-pearl dial that evokes the sky and the clouds, a fitting tribute to the partnership between the Swiss watchmaker and the Vietnamese retailer.

A Sky-Inspired Chronograph

The Navitimer B01 “S&S 10th Anniversary” Limited Edition is a variation of the Navitimer B01, which was launched in 2022. It has a vintage-inspired design with a winged AOPA emblem at 12 o’clock, a nod to the original Navitimer, which was the official timepiece of the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA).

The main attraction of this timepiece is its cloud-inspired, blue mother-of-pearl dial, which contrasts beautifully with the white subdials and the 18k red gold case. According to Breitling, the dial was inspired by the tagline “the sky’s the limit”, symbolising the partnership between the Grenchen-based brand and the Vietnamese retailer.

The dial design remains faithful to the standard Navitimer models, with the familiar slide-rule bezel and a date window at six o’clock. The case measures 41 mm in diameter and 13.6 mm in height, and is water-resistant to 30m.

A Reliable In-House Movement

Inside the Navitimer B01 “S&S 10th Anniversary” Limited Edition beats the Breitling Caliber 01, the brand’s in-house chronograph movement that features both a column wheel and a vertical clutch. It has a frequency of 28,800 beats per hour (4 Hz) and a power reserve of 70 hours.

The movement is visible through the sapphire caseback, which also bears the inscription “S&S 10th Anniversary” and the limited edition number. The watch is paired with an alligator strap with a folding clasp.

A Limited Edition for Vietnam

The Navitimer B01 “S&S 10th Anniversary” Limited Edition is limited to only 20 pieces and is exclusively available at the Breitling boutique in Hanoi. It is priced at US$21,800, or 528 million Vietnamese dong.

The watch is launched to coincide with the opening of the Breitling boutique in Hanoi, as well as to celebrate the tenth year of S&S Group, which was founded in 2013 as the sole retailer for Richard Mille in Vietnam. The company has since expanded to represent several watch brands like Bovet and Audemars Piguet, as well as automobile marques like McLaren, Lamborghini, and Rolls Royce.
